95 Degrees and Wool Knitting

These are socks for living family, and doll knits for etsy.
It's rather hot and dry so the lawn is suffering.  Last night, we didn't last long outside on the back patio. Regardless, a silly squirrel walked into the cage at 8 PM as we were going upstairs to end our day.  It was 95 degrees!!!  Kind Jeff set him free in our backyard.

Fun, Fast Weekend

Doc made beef jerky; salty and flavorful.

We FaceTimed with grandchildren; they move so quickly that videos work better than snapshots.
We went to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch; I knit in public as always and created a duck ice cream dessert.

#54 Is Full Grown

Yesterday, 3 romped in the yard and I didn't catch any! During breakfast cleanup, one walked into the cage while another supervised on the ground and onto the fence.

#53, Not a Losing Battle

The man recycling, commented that at first he thought I had a mouse.  When he saw the squirrel, he predicted, "you're fighting a losing battle."  Not true! We used to wake up to a cacophony of at least 8 squirrels having a convention under the bird feeders.  Not lately!!!

#52 Vs. Pincer Bugs

When I loaded him into the Forester, about 10 pincer bugs were on the driveway! Gross!!!
And no, squirrels are not cute!

Day Lilies and Pumpkins

I had transplanted these in the Spring so they're taking longer to bloom.  Just about there!!!
Last year, the squirrels ate every single pumpkin!! I'm hoping Jeff and I get at least one this year!

Grandson's Baptism

So beautiful! On the Feast of Corpus Christi, our youngest grandson was baptized, wearing the same gown that Gramma wore, his Mommy and Uncle wore, and also worn by his older brother and sister.

Thank you for all the beautiful pictures, Kristine!

Growing Beautifully

Haha! A "weed" is making seeds.  The plant is next to infant Cosmos and a gigantic sunflower.

Looks like something pecked at this apple before it fell from the tree.
