Kids Let Me Knit Today!
We enjoyed a front that moved in early this morning and the pups are frisky. They love the cooler temps! While they played outside, I developed a hat pattern for Julie.

Birthday Mittens for Jordyn
Knitting Socks at Grocery Store
Sock Knitting
Right now, I'm totally hooked on socks for myself and for family members. Once I wore hand knit socks, my feet will tolerate only hand knit ones. Forget about cheap store bought socks! Yes, I'm so spoiled. Here are socks for Kristine who helped track her baby son while we shopped at Yarns 2 Ewe in Houston.

Mitts Are Waiting for Scarf
Cast On Leaves Scarf
As if I don't already have about twelve projects started........... I cast on my scarf to go with the fingerless mitts. I love this yarn, and will love the scarf. However, it's going to go slowly with all the yarn overs. Reading while knitting on this, or even talking with hubby in the evenings will be asking for mistakes to happen. So, I'll knit when alone!

Birthday Socks
Puppy, Roxy, is Busy
It's like having a newborn! This puppy is constant................she gets into things, grabs yarn and stuffed display toys and eyes my dolls hungrily. She's always busy and getting into things, much like a crawling infant. Today I gave her one of grandson's bath toys, a duck, until we had a chance to buy a new toy. Here she is having a grand time.

Pumpkin Patch
My pumpkin growing in our garden just didn't happen this year. First of all, we had a serious drought in South Texas with temperatures above 110 degrees for more than twenty consecutive days. Then, we adopted cute little Roxy, a puppy, and she has pulled the pumpkin vine every which way. Today, we went to the nearby Pumpkin Patch and selected a very nice, and very large pumpkin.
