Strange Colors for Easter Bunny

This is what happens when you use stash yarn! Will post a pic of the finished bunny tomorrow.

Take Two: Jamie's Easter Hamster

Little Grandson enjoyed his so much that I mailed one to Jamie today. It'll arrive before Easter. The pattern is from Ravelry: Hamsterbeans, and cuter in person. The hamster is filled with doll making pellets that are poured into a broadcloth case. Here's hoping the critter can go into the washer without leaking pellets!

Oops! Hit too many keys too quickly and posted nothing! Two days later, I find the edit option. Yeah, live and learn. LOVE tech and blogs.

New Yarn

Yarn gifts for each birthday are always welcomed!! There are three skeins of sock yarn, enough of each for an adult pair of socks. The bright red will become a cabled pullover for Grandson in a larger size. Grandson looks fabulous in all colors.

Yarn Haul

Wagon is perfect for hauling yarn too, not just for hauling a precious little boy. It's too late to get a good photo of the yarn tonight. I'll post that tomorrow. I was gifted enough for three adult pairs of socks (300 grams of sock yarn; sometimes I use it for other projects other than socks), and a pullover for a toddler size 3. I do have more pictures with great lighting of wagon hauling our favorite cargo.

Wagon, Wagon

Wagon is a favorite mode of transportation. We went to the park, to Yarns 2 Ewe, and just up and down streets in the neighborhood. If the wagon rode near the family driveway, and if passenger didn't have his fill of wagon yet, we heard some vocal protests. Riding in Wagon is GREAT.

Knitting Basket

As always, I took knitting, but for some reason, don't get as much done these days. Maybe there's too much fun NOT knitting! Grandson really liked the knitting basket and contents. The hand cream was REALLY fun!

With Grampa

Grampa and Grandson also enjoyed special couch time together. Computer and snack, what else do they need?

Wonderful Family

Jeff and I had the absolute BEST time in Houston! Dr. Jeff presented at a conference by day and in the evenings he had a chat with the cutest grandson.

We Miss You!

Lavender Design

This color shows the March KAL better. Looks like a basket and perfect design for Spring. I wonder what will be in the basket.

Lace Edged Hat

Done! Jeff's "Head" is modeling!

March KAL

New clues arrived! It looks like a basket already and so pretty that I started another in lavender. These cloths make great gifts. If interested, go to krisknits.com to participate.

Flowers are Happy

Weather is icky but the new plants are thriving.

Rainy Day

It's cold and dark and rainy so a great day to knit on baby and adult hats for etsy.

Easter Bean in its Case

The albino hamsterbean is in a fancy "cage" and suitable for babies that want to put smaller things in their mouth. This plastic egg is gorgeous and so large that baby will have a difficult time eating it!

Adorable Easter Hamsterbeans

These cute hamsters are the creative idea of a ravelry.com designer. The ones pictured are going to favorite people in my life. Hubby wants one too! What fun to find them in your Easter Basket!

Easter Knitting

Little Toddler girl's socks are done. I prefer the cuffs folded down but Mommy will advise as to the fit and lacey pattern. Do little toes get stuck in the lace? Also have many of the Easter chicks needed for the age 4-6 year olds Atrium.

Google Knows

Google says a toddler wearing size 7 shoe probably has a foot length of 5.5 to six inches. Mom commented in February in a blog that she was wearing size 7. The average foot length for a 2-4 year old is six inches. So, I'll go with six inches and after this little Toddler/Pre-schooler tries on the socks, Mom can advise for the next pair. The first sock is going quickly!

Hippo before Lamb

Hippo has to be finished before I start Lamb and before I misplace some of the little body parts! Here's an example. A tiny ear is in the center on the needles, the head is to the left.

Boucle for Sheep

Had to be out and about mailing doll clothes and stopped in at Jo Ann's. I think this yarn will be great for my little lamb.

Socks for Jamie

Leftover yarn is perfect for a tiny girl, age two, who is quite girly. I cast on using a picot edge, then some ribbing, then Cookie A's Hedera lace pattern. They will be cute! Not sure about the fit as size 7 shoe for little toddler means nothing to me. I do much better in cms or inches!

Birthday Socks are Done

It's cloudy and rainy here today so I'm having a tough time getting accurate colors. They are beautiful and lacey and she will love them. Birthday isn't until May so I'm feeling pretty organized!

Instead of Knitting.............

It is an absolutely gorgeous day!! Here's my favorite man with two of man's best friends.

Sock Project Won

Decided to finish these socks first and free up size one dpns for the tiny toys projects in my new book. Last night I knit part of the heel flap and can't wait to knit today but am altering slacks for hubby first. Our gorgeous summery day isn't helping me at all. In between measuring the length and starting the hem, I just have to venture outside to check out new seedlings.

Knitting Decisions

Should I continue knitting my tiny hippo; one of the cute patterns in the new book? Or should I continue knitting Yohaira's gorgeous socks?

My Book Arrived!!

Last night I returned Diane's book to her; she's in the middle of knitting the row of yellow ducks and was so generous to loan me her book for an entire week. I'm so happy!!
