New Year's Eve
The plan is to relax and get organized for 2014. This year was GREAT! Doc is back in his office and yes, taking a relax on the memory foam mattress.

Fun Monday
We went shoe shopping for HIM but found new tennis shoes for me; the treads of my three year old white ones are GONE! Unfortunately, there were no plain whites (as required at two of my teaching sites) so, Brooklyn would be so proud of me!!! PINK! I don't like that color for myself!
Then we indulged for lunch and dessert at Sweet Tomatoes. Again!

Valentine Display
The dress will be on display at the store for a few months; then join other doll garments in a tote for future play by grandchildren. The pattern is by Joan Hinds but of course, I have my own version. My clothes allow independent play; some kids don't tie until second grade so why sabotage them?
Feast of the Holy Family
We received two inches of snow last night; beautiful as always!
The snowplows were working as we drove to 7 AM Mass; the church parking lot was plowed and the sidewalks were shoveled. There wasn't too much ice, and yes, we have more days of sun than South Texas!

Happy Christmas Eve
Tired and having a cookie already at 9:00 Am!!
We each opened a gift, chosen by one another. His is a Christmas puzzle of 1000 pieces and mine is Springer which I must read directions to transform!!
We made cookies for Santa; Kristine usually does this but she went home Dec. 3!! This year is different!
We leave very early for the 3:00 Mass; will never forget the fiasco in 2012 when Kristine et al went in the Forester, and we drove in the Baja, only to stand and be horribly crowded, and leaving early. Never again!!

Gorgeous Morning
We received a surprise (not predicted) inch of snow last night; Doc shoveled quickly. We have yet to use the snow blower this winter!

Fourth Week of Advent
It wasn't too treacherous to drive to Mass but the parking lot was so icy!
After Mass and our traditional Sunday breakfast, I went to work while he canned pizza sauce and moved his office back upstairs. He's next to Santa's Workshop again!

Happy Birthday, Kristine!
You'll always be our "Christmas baby" and always our very own little girl, even when you are surrounded by your own little ones. Happy Birthday!!

Puzzle, Mail, Ice Melt
So much blue!!! Doc's left foot made him take it easy so we worked this tedious puzzle.
Fun mail from the Virginia grands arrived yesterday! Thank you!
The ice is gone and very few patches of snow remain. We love this climate!
