Hem with Pizza Crust
Friday evening, after he made thin crust pizza for supper, wearing his school colors from the day's work, he asked if I could hem the shirt. Of course I can! I found it draped on my sewing chair, complete with part of dinner makings on the front! Haha! Just a few more little jobs to complete before I fly on Tuesday to hang with the VA family. Note to self: close etsy store! Even though I have few items in it, I just sold an outfit!!
Yarn Fix
Last night, I wound the hank of new wool/silk yarn into a ball, not knowing the ipad holder would lose its spring the next morning! Thanks to the huge ball of yarn as support, I could still play Backgammon and knit at the same time!

Adorable Grandchildren
This cutie is 5 months old already!
These four are the most beautiful and intelligent (of course) of all grandchildren! We are expecting #5 any day now!
Big brother loves to be outdoors, running, if possible.

Winter Activities
I'm sewing in Santa's Workshop during the times I'm not in class somewhere. Baby girl loves her books!
Hat hair! I snow plowed the driveway and also often wear a hat inside; it's warmer that way!
We have lots of fires and I knit LOTS of yarn!
Come on, sun, do your work and melt some of this. Snow is frequently in the forecast for next week. I just need to have a day when both airports are open so I can meet our new grandson.
Black ice isn't always visible; sometimes it's under the snow. No walk for me until it warms up!
Thank you, sun, for working hard yesterday to melt some of the nearly six inches of snow.
Snow, snow, snow! I fly on Tuesday!
At the top of the hill, on our street, lots of DOT trucks are working and flashing their lights. Glad it's not in our driveway!

Sunny Colorado
Here is my favorite view.
Kids walk to school along the Greenbelt so it is shoveled very early.

We have more days of sun than Texas; in spite of the cold, the sun is making icicles!
Maybe I'll get out the snow blower, and maybe not. It's more fun when Doc is home to join in the fun.

Automatic Needle Threaders
My Brother SE400 has an easy needle threader, built it, and it works every time.
My Husky #1+ has a needle threader and I didn't even know it!! This machine was introduced in 1990 and I bought it from eBay in 2000. It does everything but I just don't play enough to discover all the cool features! I found the threader gadget by chance and it is so easy to use!!

Fast Weekend
While I taught classes all weekend, he spoiled us with delicious edibles, updated For The Love Of Strays, and drove us to the ReStore. Our weather is sunny and mild; happy January!!
I began packing my suitcase; I always travel light. This time, I'm including some fun things like Transformers, a sewn purse, kid band aids, and yes, hand knits for little Dude. Cone on, August! We are ready for your arrival! However, we are all more than willing to wait until you are ready.
His office is forever changed! Bunks remind us that we have five (soon!) young grands to enjoy sleepovers from time to time.
This huge stash of new trims, a cost of $3.00, came from ReStore!

And yes, I am always knitting; it goes everywhere with me! I knit during my lunch break and whenever I get a chance! The black socks are for Doc, doll sweaters are a special order, and the striped back is part of John Jeffrey's pullover.

Sewing and Knitting
Done and mailed!! So now I get to knit! Or sew!
Black socks are for Doc and the hat chosen by Mommy is for "Dude." This little grandson will have so many names!!
The cream is knit in "trinity stitch" and adds adorable texture to the sheep's body.
