Knitting Chunky Pillow

This is for the Northglenn store.  The yarn is Bernat Mega and knits so quickly.

First Cozy Fire This Autumn

It was chilly and wet so I knit while he grilled steaks.

Autumn Storm

I drove home in tiny sprinkles; now look!

Where Is The Sweet Onion?

As usual, Sunday morning, I use sweet onion in my omelet.  Since the garden is pretty much depleted, I had purchased one large onion from King Sooper.   Sunday morning, neither of us could find it!! We checked the frig, cupboards, trunks of the cars......  It was nowhere!! I finally found two tiny onions in the garden that I had placed on the pumpkins to discourage critters from nibbling the nearly orange pumpkins.
Last night's rain washed our streets and flowers.

The gardens and our yard are looking sort of sad, typical of Fall.
The pumpkins are small but so far without too many nibbles.
Two tiny starts of onions; I'll remember where they are in case I misplace purchased veggies!

Look of Fall with Warm Temps

He's grilling in shorts; it is 88 degrees!

The garden looks sad; it is late September after all.  Only the sage, a few pumpkins, the grape vine, and some strawberry plants look well.

Lots of falling leaves but no snow on the pines!!
Always knitting; these hats go with the pumpkin sets below.
 Awesome dinner! Awesome Doc!
I sewed these today and am almost ready to list on ebay; just need the pumpkin hats, undies, and a felt mask.

Grilled Fish

Ever since Yohaira mentioned how well baby Natasha liked fish on the grill, Doc has been searching for fish recipes.  Delicious!! And we're having summer again so are eating outside in the evenings.

Sewing for Sasha

Kiltie is modeling with Jackie; he doesn't mind wearing girl clothing if is't only for a short while.
Jackie and Joy are custom dolls by Kelly Wenarsky.  My favs!!

Morning Walk

We destroyed the morning glories when we rearranged the back patio.  They still bloom!

The apples will remain for critters to eat.  We have SO many, and yes, they are near the top of the tree.  We're not climbing!!

Yarn Stash

This is about half!!!  There is yarn in Santa's Workshop, and partially completed knits everywhere: on the kitchen table, where I sit to watch Chuck, in my work bag, in the tote that I use to teach at the City Parks and Rec!  Yarn is everywhere!!  A second grade student told me once, "you can never have enough yarn."  For teacher gifts, she would bring me a skein, a knitting gauge, or a scarf she had knit for one of my dolls.  Wonderful!!

Canned Fruit Stash

Yes, Doc has been busy!!

Yard and Grout Cleanup

Our yard was a mess! Our kitchen floor was a mess! There's been constant work in the yard: fall prep for the gardens, picking apples, dehydrating herbs, gathering seeds for next year, etc.
Our floor is no longer sticky from fruit juice and while at it, we steamed clean the grout!
More apples remain and they are beautiful; just too high for the fruit picker to reach.
He mulched stems of sunflowers, bits and pieces of plants, and then mowed.  Our yard is glorious!

I started to winterize the front but am still gathering seeds for next year.  There's no hurry.

Favorite Things

Favorite things include: a day off with my favorite man, knitting (!), lots of yarn, coffee (in a mug to remind me of the adorable five grandchildren in our life!), cookie, pandora, hanging in Santa's Workshop, and being surrounded by dolls.  In the background, you can see a leg from a green dress.

Celebrate Fall

 with chocolate chip cookies....................

 decorations for autumn..................
and flu shots!  Yup, my doctor has fun band aids! There are some nasty germs out there already, even though kids have barely started school.  To avoid them, eat more cookies, and get a flu shot early!!
