This plant is a late bloomer, black eyed susan, and worth the wait.
Yay! Cosmos are starting to bloom in front with the visiting flamingos.
Lots of leaves are falling; chimney cap is waiting for the first fire this Autumn.
In light of recent reports of Rabbit Fever in Colorado, I'm walking on paved surfaces only! Black bunny and a brown bunny were grazing in our front gardens this morning; no gardening there for me!
This fireman scurried up the ladder onto the roof and installed a chimney cap in minutes!!!! We're good for another 3 years!!! Yup, we use our fireplace a LOT!
Haha! After he mowed his lawn, he placed the birds, with visors still secure on their heads, in my garden! The gladiolus are leaning because I didn't follow directions: supposed to plant the corms 6-8" deep! and I didn't believe the package!
He could care less!!! While the birds screamed at him, he calmly rested in the Rodriguez's tree, on the corner of our street. I didn't see a single squirrel or a single rabbit on my walk this morning!!!!! Do I need to thank Hawk? Is he eating our abundant population of tree rats and furry bunnies?
In March 2011, this was our first path and view of Lake Ketner.
It is finally summer weather and I might have a few Cosmos in front after all. Bunnies had eaten the four prior plantings! Pink flamingos say it's hot! The donned sun visors.
