The big event starts late this afternoon.  Neighbor says we're supposed to get 18 inches of blowing snow.  We'll wait and see.

Balmy............Before Weekend

A happy squirrel was watching the neighborhood outside Santa's Workshop.
It was 61 degrees today and lots of snow melt happening.  This weekend another storm is supposed to bring us lots of snow and winter chill.
Today was glorious!

Broncos Fans

Stuck a band aid on my toe cut and took a walk.  Neighbor is having fun with his flamingos so I just added some more Broncos flair! Yup, doll clothes!

Still Winter

It was 18 degrees this morning when I walked but we expect the snow to melt in the next few "warm" days. The neon yarn is hand dyed by Knitterman and feels heavenly to knit.  The knits go to an etsy buyer.

Chilly But Found the One!!

We began our day with a cozy fire; it's January, after all! On my walk, I found the number 1 that has been missing since before Christmas.  Yup, under the snow as we had guessed!

New Needles, Balmy Colorado

While Virginia has 39" of new snow, and WA has tons of rain in chilly 38 degrees, we have sun and 61 degrees!!!  Little girl across the street is being coached by her dad in basketball moves.

The steel dpns in size 0 arrived; awesome and no, I won't break them! They are 6" and if only they were made in 4" length for doll clothes knitting!

Storm Jonas?

Not here!!! The Forester registered 60 degrees when Doc drove home at 3:45!  This photo is taken from Santa's Workshop.

Promise of Spring

We have sidewalk with very few icy spots.
The frozen water is slowly, slowly melting.

Jeff's Honey Crisp has nice little buds!

Here is a first strawberry plant; the others are still buried under some snow.
Part of the sage is growing as well as a violet with the first bloom.
Oh boy! soon it will be time to dig in the dirt!
