Hail Storm

Poor daisies! The hail and heavy rain beat up the plant!

Sewing for Dolls

I met this little girl at age 7 in the Jo Ann's classroom and we've been sewing together for
five consecutive years, at Michael's, Rocky Mountain, and no longer at Jo Ann's.  She made both of the outfits on Bitty; my "Aurora" on the left (named by her) is having a sleepover tonight with Bitty and Seamstress.  We'll have another class this Thursday.

Knitting Socks

The melon stripes is my sock.  The little ones fit Gregor and Sasha, all knit from leftover sock yarn.

Week Twelve: Windows

Here's my choice: a bay window on the East side.
He chose all these; it's a Sun Room after all!!

Day Lilies and Garden

Bunny wants to invite himself for nibbles but doesn't like me in my garden!

The miniature day lilies were transplanted from the edible garden in back.  They're happy!

Week Twelve: Outside Wrap

Right now the wall is not up so we can spy on "Mower Man!"

Week Twelve: Inside Work

Jake did lots of sawing and pounding.  He wrapped the outside too.

Week Eleven: Wow!

I'm in the garage, peeking in the Sun Room.
The door on the left will allow entry from Sun Room to kitchen.  The open space is for the bay window.
My bay window waits.  The open space is another window.  By the ladder will be a gas fireplace.
I'm in the Sun Room, peeking into the garage.  That wall will be complete when done.

Week Eleven: Door Removal

Ok! Mark, Jake, Pete, and later, Matthew, were all working!! The garage door leading to the back yard is gone.  Pete finished all the shingles, including two spots, one on the South roof and another on the North side, where shingles had blown off during a winter storm. Jeff gave Matthew our fireplace choice and he left.  Jake and Mark continue to do major progress.

Button Order and Rain

USPS tracking is awesome! We know these cities in Iowa quite well.
I was tired or removing the tiny staples from the button card so requested them OFF the card! My pin cushion is a magnet and those tiny staples would become magnetized and be all over my sewing room!  Enough of having those tiny pieces of metal stuck in my socks!!
Just now it poured; the sun is already returning! Doc is watching the rain and checking lawn mower parts!!

Week Eleven: Skylights

This roofing owner can scamper up the ladder faster than any fireman I've seen!
Pete is trying to finish the shingles before the rain arrived.....
Maybe you can see the raindrops on the new skylight.

We're a tiny step further in having the Sun Room!

SO Beautiful!

Way up here, at Oak Street, was where I did the dukes on May 21!  Knees and everything healed nicely!

Playing Dolls

A happy etsy buyer shared this photo of my outfit on her little girl.

Week Eleven: Shingles, Skylights

Pete arrived mid afternoon and started carrying heavy shingles onto the roof.
Seems like Pete did the garage first; piles of shingles are on top of the roof.
The skylights are cut out!!! Exciting!
While knitting on the back patio, I noticed they had trimmed and faced the roof edge. Neat!
