Knitting

"In the rhythm of the needles, there is music for the soul."

I'm always knitting, during waits in post office line or at airports, as a passenger in the car or flight, during meetings, while shopping at ARC or ??? wherever, while relaxing on the patio after the work day..................  I knit always except if I'm the one driving, when I'm taking my daily walks, or when I'm at Mass.  Otherwise, the needles call me.  I love the process as well as the finished items.  So, that means I have a HUGE stash of yarn and am always adding to that stash!
Here's a sample of recent purchases.

I will often knit while sitting on the garden bench and waiting for hummingbirds to feed.
The recent snows and the runoff is causing Lake Ketner to rise again.  It's gorgeous! No knitting on my walk; there's too much to admire in nature.

Memorial Weekend Fun

My new yarn arrived Saturday; I trashed my left hand on Sunday!!!!!
Bob brought wool sports coats for Doc.  Brothers have similar taste in some clothing.

Doc drove us to ARC and the mountains with new snow (Thursday! but we got rain in 43 degrees) are gorgeous.

Doc cooked; Bob was going to clean the clogged gutter after the meal but forgot about the project.

Doc rigged up a way to solve the issue; after my attempt and injuring my hand!!
"Conehead" (Oliver) wants so much to play but has to wait until his stitches have healed.......10 more days.  He loves me but is too rowdy a puppy right now for me, even when I'm not injured!

Our gardens are gorgeous already!  We'll have lots of blooms soon.

Robot Vac and Gardens

The ice plants are already full of blooms.
Molly is supervising the RoboVac, named Doofus. He does a great job!

This Northern Catalpa along the greenbelt is starting to leaf.

The front gardens have tons of blooms and the Northern Catalpa is beginning to leaf.

Rain, Snow, Fish, Turtles at Lake Ketner

It rained last night at our elevation so the path was muddy.  The mountains got more snow and are glorious!

This youth, maybe 16, was setting free a huge (18" at least) fish!

There were two turtles, something we don't often see.

We love this area, the climate, and wish it could snow more often!!

Grilling, Walking, Gardens

Doc grilled chicken, delicious but a bit too chilly to eat outside.

The gardens suffered no harm from last Thursday's snow.

Ice plants are along the curb in front.
Everything in the new Pollinators' Paradise has survived.
