More Snow; Quick Melt

We received 5 inches of new snow; the first couple of inches melted when it landed on warm cement.  

Doc snow blows ours and neighbor's driveways. 

The greenbelt is gorgeous after a snowfall. 

This was early afternoon and more than half had already melted in our dry climate. 

This was taken at 4:00 PM; almost gone yet fun icicles dangle from the blur spruce and from the closed  umbrella!

The best part of snow in the Rockies: it is gorgeous, provides moisture to our dry climate, and melts quickly in our glorious sun. 

 Mama Fox and her two babies are out playing today.  They are so beautiful.

Always Knitting: Socks

A lovely Etsy seller from Canada sells the above progress keepers.  I bought more to share with my knitting friends if we ever get to meet again. 

As a multi-tasking knitter, there are usually 5-12 pairs of socks on needles in various stages of completion.  The above are 10 pairs for 5 different family members.  I LOVE knitting!
 

Welcome Rain

We enjoyed a rare hour of rain yesterday, after Doc put down the lawn fertilizer.

 My first project is the Misti Alpaca socks for me.  Today I'll cake the other hank to turn it into a shawl.  

Positivity rates are up in our area so we are still home and safe.  

More Snow

Gorgeous wake up!!!  It was so wet, so balmy that the first inch melted and the driveways weren't too heavily covered.  We LOVE snow!

 

St. Patrick's Day, Snow, Knitting

We still have a lot of our 25" snowfall.  Gorgeous.

As always, I'm always knitting. 

 We take at least one walk a day unless it's icy.  The greenbelt is a favorite path.

We needed this due to severe drought. Hopefully we won't have wildfires this year!

Snowblower and Yarn Purchases

Rare road trip for snow blower and yarn!

Seller had it ready for pick up! Then on to Maverick Fibers for yarn!!

Doc waited in the Subaru; I didn't have an appointment so shopped from the door.  The sales person brought me selections and I did rejections and choosings!!

I'm on the right with navy jacket and red hat. 

This store has awesome selections and kind, patient staff.

Winter, Still Covid Lockdowns

We are surviving quite well, still waiting our turn for the vaccine and missing family like crazy.

We grew more hair: covid hair and Santa beard. 

He lost the beard but gained a perfect gift.  He loves the new whisk even more than the breakfast.  The coffee was so delicious!!

 Winter has been mild but like everyone else, we are hit with the polar vortex.
