Doggie with Grandchildren

Laika (dog) is seven years old; Brooklyn is almost five months old.
Laika is the most tolerant doggie; this is the second baby Gussow to climb on her! (Or to be placed on her; Brooklyn is a wee bit too young to do that all by herself!)
I miss having these cute grandchildren closer! How I want to scoop them! Smart Mommy dresses the children in Christmas attire while they still fit! By March? Probably not!! Certainly not by December 2011!!

Cutest Grands

Kristine and Jerome have the cutest little boy!! He wouldn't wear Rudolph today; maybe he needs a new head topper from Knitter Gramma!!

Little Blondie is five months old in a couple of days; she is one busy little baby!!

Daddy and baby pictures are so fun!

Grampa keeps his computer far from grandson but John Jeffrey hardly notices!

Making up a new game with his tunnel!

Sweet little baby in hand knits is always happy in her mom's loving arms.

Messy Wednesday

It was colder yesterday so we are enjoying a warming trend.
SouthGlenn has piles of snow with signs of some melting. With our ice trekkers, there's little danger of ice even when walking to the Post Office, to the Arapahoe Library, and to Whole Foods.

Using two strands at once, using the Turkish cast on, and with size 2 needles, my boot socks will be cozy!
My San Francisco (Wisdom Universal Yarns) socks won't match.
His San Diego socks (Wisdom Universal yarns) will match perfectly.

Walking, returning from mailing ebay and returning materials to the library, it is starting to become wet and messy.

His First Sock

It's way too cold for the snow to melt; we can still walk using our ice trekkers.

One done! This pair is going slowly since I'm knitting lots of doll sweaters right now. The sock is photographed on top of about seven inches of snow!

Early Morning "Mowing"

A major icicle is forming!
In Texas, we mow (lawn) twice a week; in Colorado, we get to "mow" (snow) more than once a day!

Jeff is unburying Pam's car. See the school bus? Littleton schools are open!

St. Thomas, Choir Practice, Snow

We listen well to the forecast and attended Mass at St. Thomas More last night. It was more packed than we've ever seen it and we were even ten minutes early! Could it be that others wanted to avoid Sunday's horrible messy parking lot also?? The ushers found us seating, but in separate pews. In the very first pew, I had a bird's eye view of all. Jeff sat five pews behind me and I joined him for the Our Father, then after Communion (when some folks skip out!!) This morning, we awoke to this! Pam is off to choir practice and then her church service. This is the first time Jeff shoveled today!
Jeff did the steps first, then the driveway.
Next, we brushed snow off the cars so we could store them in the park and ride garage about a mile from Pam's house.

The little Honda needed some TLC as the ice was trying to form, even while parked in the garage.
Our cars are keeping one another company in the garage, without having more snow fall on them. We walked home with a gentle snow falling on our hoods.
Time for breakfast and some knitting! Thank you for the delicious pancakes, Jeff!

Snow continues to fall, and it is so pretty!
Jeff is shoveling a second time.
Snow is still falling; it is so soft and quiet.
Here he is shoveling a third time and the snow is continuing to whiten our landscape! Love it! LOVE Colorado!!

Sock Yarn from Tuesday Morning

Who would think you could find great sock yarn from Tuesday Morning??! I noticed that knitters on Ravelry.com documented that they purchased yarn from this unusual store. So today, when the house had two showings, we used the GPS to find two different Tuesday Mornings in Denver. Jeff is the super enabler; he encouraged me to buy lots! This lot will become 12 pairs of adult socks. Last year I knit 28 pairs of adult socks so if I knit similarly, I probably won't need sock yarn until July!
