Sewing Class

The students are so AWESOME, so focused, so gutsy!  We've replaced zippers (in coats and back packs), patched via stitching and appliques, sewed toddler dresses, bound a quilt, and started a pair of trousers. Amazing for newbies!!  The above student brought me a wonderful gift of buttons that he has been removing from worn clothing for many years. He also brought patches!! My style! They will be perfect for Gregor doll's sweaters and overalls.

Green Belt Walk From Oak Street

For a change and to see which trees are starting to bloom, I walked up to Oak, then down the green belt to Countryside.  It's an unusual March for sure!

Watching The Garden from the Bench

Yes, there are now yarn sniglets on the front garden bench!
Favorite dolls are watching the plants grow, and are knitting.

Greenbelt Goes to Simms

I left the house at 7:30 as usual, saying hello to Dennis' rabbit, and headed for the greenbelt.

I walked up the entire greenbelt and finally came to Simms Street.  You have to turn right or left; I headed home with a right turn, kept taking pictures until I couldn't get phone reception, and guess my walk was about four miles.  I was gone for 70 minutes and I walk quickly when I'm alone.

March Maintenance

Trees are trying to bud; I think this is an Oak tree near the main street.
March is the "snowiest" month but so far, we are having Spring!
The city is busy patching streets with tar and filling potholes.
