Lawn and Iris Buds

Doc mowed after work, then applied weed and feed.  It is gorgeous!
There are TWO buds forming!  The irises at West View have already bloomed and are gone.  I guess it depends on sun, water..........etc.  These came from Dennis.  I planted the bulbs last year and no blossoms but this year they look mature and healthy!

Springtime in the Rockies

 Trees are starting to leaf.
Melting snow is filling up the lakes including our Lake Ketner.

Something with feather was grabbed!  Meat group!
Ducks are hanging with their mate.
Flowers are blooming; the lighter bloom is Allium, the darker purple are hyacinth.

Week Four: Pouring Concrete

You can see the smaller truck behind the tree; the black tube on the lawn and extending into the garage carried the cement mix.
Haha! They thought they would take the smaller truck through the back gate!  NOT!!
The guy in the orange vest is the garbage man who was fascinated by the cement truck and stopped to chat with the cement crew.
The cement is between the wooden walls.  We're making progress!

Still Snowing, Still Melting

It's still snowing and still not accumulating due to 36 degrees.  Lake Ketner is going to be so high!

No one is sitting on the garden bench!

Earth Day Mug and New Yarn

It's been snowing since Friday, too warm to accumulate so the streets and trees are happy. It's so chilly and damp!  Fireplace and yarn make everything great.  The new black cardigan is 1/2 knit! The original black cardi is 25 years old and very pilly.
An Earth Day promo brought me a free mug with new yarn for the next cardigan.
The neon sock yarn is from etsy.
I'm finally knitting my socks using opal yarn from Madison last August.

Construction: Week Four

This is how the back looked before they began the addition.
Here's why there are major delays in pouring concrete.  Maybe during week four it will happen.

It's such a mess!!

Happy May Day
