little kids are awesome knitters! returned from class with finished doll sweaters and hats (yup, I knit while they're concentrating and knitting) and to find Doc had made more applesauce!
I can make it into a pattern; will write down what I do when knitting the next sweater and hat. What size doll or stuffed critter is your plan? 18", 16", 12"?
18" doll. I would love to make one for Olivia for Xmas for her dolly. Did you use sock yarn? I love them, they are really cute and stripy. I also love the wine that goes with them.
Ha ha! I'll pour you a glass now (I'll email it!) and work up the pattern as soon as possible after our visit with John Jeffrey and Brooklyn. Yes, I use sock yarn, the self-patterning wool blend yarn, and size 2-3 needles. They knit quickly!
Ok I'll sure enjoy the little grands and I'll write the pattern well before Christmas so you can tweak the pattern per your dolly's size and your gauge.
I love being married to the absolute best companion for life. I love being Mom, and now a Gramma. Grandbaby #2, a darling blonde chatterbox arrived on August 14, 2010. Grandbaby #3, a little boy, arrived on July 12, 2011. He is gorgeous! Baby sister arrived in August 2013 and what a beautiful baby! The most recent arrival is Augustine, 5th grandchild, born January 2014. Life is so good!
I Love the little sweaters. Do you have a pattern for this or wing it as you go?

ReplyDeleteNo rush on the patten, just whenever you have time. Thanks! And enjoy those grandkids!
