Check Corrections First

This is how the chart should have looked in the book.

Here is the Eunice sock chart that is all wrong! Unfortunately, I didn't check interweave.com for corrections before knitting the heel, looking at the pictures in Sock Innovation and trying to knit according to the picture.

Here's the heel of the first sock, the one I knit before searching for corrections. I chose to leave the heel as is, only have a few knit stitches where there should be purls. Two knitting friends had a hard time seeing "errors" in my work without my pointing out the area. Sock #2 will be knit according to the corrections.
