Julie's Rudolph Hat

This was more time consuming than I imagined! The antler nubs and nose are knit on size one dpns using sock yarn.

Kids Let Me Knit Today!

We enjoyed a front that moved in early this morning and the pups are frisky. They love the cooler temps! While they played outside, I developed a hat pattern for Julie.

Socks Are Finished

It's been busy with work and handling pups who are not used to "winter" but I can still knit here and there. Socks are such portable projects and that might explain why I'm knitting so many pairs right now. She is going to love these socks!

Birthday Socks

These are knitting up quickly and are so pretty! I'm using Cookie A's Summer Sox pattern, free on the net.

Thanksgiving Day Crowd

The picture says it all! We are a happy bunch!

Barefoot Sweater Baby

Piano Player in Blue Hand Knit

Sweater Weather During Thanksgiving Week

Our weather turned chilly (I know but 60 degrees is chilly for us!!) so tall baby Grandson got to wear two sweaters in size 2! We Texans aren't used to wearing many clothes and he still balks at shoes and socks. I had to sneak the hat on when he was distracted by puppy!

Molly and her Puppet are Resting

I need to clean out my sewing room but instead, I'm playing dolls! Here is Molly helping me play!

Turkey Wine Topper

The cute pattern on the net described this turkey as a finger puppet. It's adorable as a finger puppet, hand puppet for my Molly, and a wine topper for my fav white wine.

Birthday Mittens for Jordyn

Yes, I'm always knitting about 10 projects at once. Jordyn's 9th birthday is Nov. 20th and these are a surprise. She lives many states away so it will be fun for her to receive a package in the mail.

Knitting Socks at Grocery Store

I'm always knitting public, which is the only way I can finish so many projects. Can you find the skein and part of a sock in the grocery cart?

Knitting at Raia's Pasta Place

Starting the first sock, toe up, and enjoying delicious pasta!

Sock Knitting

Right now, I'm totally hooked on socks for myself and for family members. Once I wore hand knit socks, my feet will tolerate only hand knit ones. Forget about cheap store bought socks! Yes, I'm so spoiled. Here are socks for Kristine who helped track her baby son while we shopped at Yarns 2 Ewe in Houston.

A Wee Bit of Knitting

Yarns 2 Ewe is a fabulous yarn shop! I bought two different sock yarns and also enjoyed some giggles as baby grandson whizzed threw some yarn displays!

Playing but Still Knitting!

I flew to Houston to play with a special daughter and adorable grandson. Also finished daughter's birthday socks while visiting and gave them to her early. Success! She enjoyed wearing them! These are her happy feet!

Scarf Progress

I'm having to pay attention, unlike doll sweaters and socks and many other projects, but am loving this pattern. It is well written and going quicker than I thought. Two pics will show how pretty the result will be.

Mitts Are Waiting for Scarf

I knit the mitts in early August before hubby and I attended the annual conference in Madison. Yes, it was so chilly there that I wore them!

Cast On Leaves Scarf

As if I don't already have about twelve projects started........... I cast on my scarf to go with the fingerless mitts. I love this yarn, and will love the scarf. However, it's going to go slowly with all the yarn overs. Reading while knitting on this, or even talking with hubby in the evenings will be asking for mistakes to happen. So, I'll knit when alone!

Puppy Wins!

Okay, I got tired of the whining and let Roxy go outside to play in the rain.

Stormy Weather

It's a horrible day with thunder and lots of blowing rain! I'm trying to knit and Roxy is whining from window to door, begging to go outside. She is totally FEARLESS!

This fearless puppy is game for everything!

Birthday Socks

Daughter will celebrate a birthday in late December so I'm working on her gift early. Time tends to get away fast and hopefully I'll be more organized this year. I like this yarn and LOVE the way this yarn is striping! It's fun and funky and I do think she'll enjoy wearing these.

Puppy, Roxy, is Busy

It's like having a newborn! This puppy is constant................she gets into things, grabs yarn and stuffed display toys and eyes my dolls hungrily. She's always busy and getting into things, much like a crawling infant. Today I gave her one of grandson's bath toys, a duck, until we had a chance to buy a new toy. Here she is having a grand time.

Puppy Glombs the Human

Roxy, our puppy, is similar to elementary students. She, like the little kids, loves to glomb onto the adult!

Sniffing the Pumpkin

Roxy likes new things!

Puppy Inspects the Pumpkin

This is a very curious puppy. She loves new things, and she LOVES to glomb onto her humans!

Pumpkin Patch

My pumpkin growing in our garden just didn't happen this year. First of all, we had a serious drought in South Texas with temperatures above 110 degrees for more than twenty consecutive days. Then, we adopted cute little Roxy, a puppy, and she has pulled the pumpkin vine every which way. Today, we went to the nearby Pumpkin Patch and selected a very nice, and very large pumpkin.

Birthday for Baby

Baby LOVED the cake! This was the first time he had refined sugar and yes, he loved it!!

Baby Grandson Turns One!

We refurbished the wagon, then I knit a wagon sized blanket, and when the family came to visit, we enjoyed all the hard work! Baby is now one!!

And More Tiny Knits

More Tiny Knits

These fit the 16 1/2 inch Sasha doll.

Still Knitting

It's been busy with work, knitting Christmas presents (socks), and knitting and sewing doll clothes to sell. Here are some sweater and socks sets.

Cotton Sports Short Cuff Socks

This mostly cotton yarn came from The Modern Ewe and is working up quickly. I like it but doubt I'll use it again; so many other choices are more favorable in my opinion.

Knitting in Denver

While visiting the local yarn stores, I purchased a few skeins for gift socks. I knit these while traveling to various places in Colorado.
