For three consecutive evenings there has been no wind.  It sure gets dark quickly!!!

Sweat Equity

There are lots of piddly things left for us to do along with blinds without strings, door stoppers, and towel racks in the new bathroom. I'll order the drapes.  Soon it will be OURS!!

Week 29: Mantle, Tweak Bay Window

The first support beam is installed.
Veneer will be replaced in one corner, any holes will be filled, and then a light stain.  This is my spot!

Errands and Splitting Wood

The weather has been SO mild but we know once weather changes, we'll be needing split wood for the fireplace. It is very dry, 8% and this week the temps will range from 66-82!

We went to Restore and I found new Advent candles for .50!!!!

Week 28: Inspections, Fireplace

We passed the final electrical inspection.  Inspectors will return when the fireplace is operational. Builder and Brother are trying to finish the installation,

Last night, the workers removed the protective paper on the new floor.  Dusty albeit beautiful!

Leaves, Leaves, Wind

This was Sunday morning; tons of leaves still on the trees and many already fallen.

We bagged five and then last night, the trees were nearly bare.  Wind velocity was 33 mph!

See the metal pile of debris in the background?  The picture above shows wonderful results when the workers took it last night!  Our backyard is being reclaimed...............slowly.

Winterize Garden, Paint Garage, Grill, Relax

It's that time; much is fading and needing to be trimmed low to be covered with mulch.
Doc is painting the garage and taping and mudding the last wall.

Weather still allows us to sit outside and dine on the back patio; he grills often.
Relaxing in the basement because the TV in the den is disconnected. It will go above the gas fireplace in the Addition.......................some day.
