No Snow Melt Yet - Always Knitting

Snow Fort didn't melt yet

my new socks

seeds came from a conference and are germinating
still cold, still thick ice on back patio
Squirrels still can't feed with the birds; snow is too deep for them to travel from the fence to the bird feeders.

 abundant sun and cold
How much of the snow fort will remain when I get home tonight?
Wagon tracks were lightly covered yesterday morning with the new snow.
Enjoy this pine tree; it might become our live Christmas tree in 2013!!

Yesterday's Work

stuffing eggs to go to grandson's Resurrection Party at school
putting eggs in knit bunnies; improvising a larger bunny, finishing bunnies for grandchildren
sewed doll clothes of "used" clothing

wanting to borrow Julie's hat!

Yesterday

lots of snowfall for about an hour.....................then cloudy, cold, and windy
Snow piled up...........what can one expect after 13" on Sunday?
This was a short walk through the greenbelt because it was so windy and cold!

Snowing at 9:15 AM

Snow was predicted for 1:00 until 9:00 this afternoon/evening.  It came early! However, NOT before I hauled the wagon thru the icy back patio, to the woodpile, to get more firewood.

Knitting and More Snow?

It's dark and the forecast is for snow at 1:00 today; it's already flurrying in Denver.
Always knitting..................................

Snow Fort

Julie helped Gramma build a fort using the rectangular plastic container.
It looked like this when finished and they were so happy with the outcome. Can you see Julie?
Can you find Gramma? She always wears a hat!

Me and My Shovel

And with the sun's help, it should be clear and dry by 3:30 when the temp drops and all will freeze again.

Today's Forecast = "Abundant Sun"

Squirrels get buried in the 13" so have not ventured from the fence to the smooth area that Jeff made for the birds.
Thanks to the glorious sun and the shovel, our driveway is looking great.  Snow is predicted for tomorrow afternoon.   Love it!  My garden loves it!!

Calling Alexander, Brooklyn, and John Jeffrey

Ready for a wagon ride?  The inside is nice and dry!!

Early Snow Blow

Total for Storm Q (blizzard!!) was 13" in our neighborhood.

He even got the bottom of our driveway which is often an icy mess.

More Snow, One Plow

 Wow! Denver plowed our street!!

We will plow our driveway; Jeff has delayed start, not til 10:30.
