Where to Buy the Toys Book!

After going through the book a couple of times and choosing a few of the toys to begin knitting right now, I concluded that I must have my own copy! Books can be found at Amazon and ebay! So yes, I bought a copy and hope it comes before Thursday's knitting gathering. I also started one of the toys!
My hippo will be smaller since I'm using one strand of the sock yarn (rather than two) and size 2 needles instead of size 5.

Knitting Toys

One of the knitters on Thursday night brought this book for show and tell, then loaned it to me for the week! Oooo am I having fun admiring all the cute toys! I wish I had time to knit every one at least one time!!

Socks for Birthday

I'm trying to be organized this year so have started the birthday socks early. Our DIL will celebrate her birthday in May. This pattern called me! And I love Tofutsies sock yarn.

Socks Met with Approval!

Lifesaver Socks

Done in just a few more rows!

Lifesaver Socks

This is probably not ideal for socks due to the heavier weight but the colorway called me. Plus it's still very cold in Texas and these can be worn as house slippers.

Still Knitting, Always Knitting

It's been incredibly cold in Texas this winter so I'm knitting more wool socks for the big kids. Here are dress socks for the man.

Happy Valentine's Day to Hubby

He misplaced his stocking cap, it's still "winter" here, and he still walks the pups every morning at 6 AM when it's very cold. So, here's a quick and functional Happy Valentine's hat to a very special man. Here he is being greeted by our puppy, Roxy.

Maybe a Tomato?

Gampa and Dad report the hat is a tomato eventho it was intended to be an apple. Regardless, little grandson has approved!

Sideways Apple Hat

I knit the hat on dpns in stockinette stitch and yes, am liking the rolled hem. It's different from all his other hats which have a ribbed hem.

Apple Hat with Three Leaves

Baby Grandson can count to three, seeming to understand the concept already, hence three leaves on his new hat!

Apple Hat

I visit the eye doctor this morning and will probably knit on the Apple, or socks from yesterday while waiting. Always waiting...................always knitting while waiting.

Knitting at the Dentist Office

I arrived on time but as is often the case, had to wait.............. I began the heel while waiting.

Viewpoint of Yarn

Hubby commented, "Now THAT's a huge skein!" I tried to pull out from the center, had a four legged helper, had non helping skein, and gave up. And yes, it is indeed a HUGE skein of yarn. I think it's a 16 ounce skein.

Park and Mud Cardigan

Baby Grandson is now a toddler and has become enamored with PARK. He has even discovered the thrill of playing in mud! This cardigan will be in size 18-24 months; I began the first sleeve this afternoon.

Knitting for Dolls

With lots of unused sock yarn, resulting after a pair of socks is finished, doll sweaters are quick and have a fun result. Here's one example.
