Knitting, SO COLD

It's too cold to snow, 16 degrees, but we took a walk anyway and are knitting and "computering."  It's trying hard to snow but the forecast is "flurries" only.

Canning, Knitting, Walking

Doc is canning pizza sauce, I'm knitting for Christmas, and our walk was glorious.

Walking Along Greenbelt

It was a beautiful Thanksgiving Day!

Happy Thanksgiving

This photo is from yesterday; Doc has the wreaths up and welcoming.
Our 50 mph winds blew wrought iron furniture!  There's a plastic pumpkin in the street; probably from miles away.
SO, because the wind is still here, we will set up the rotisserie in the garage and not on the back patio as we usually do.

Sewing for Dolls

Bitty Baby was named "Aurora" by a sewing student.  The frequent request is to bring Aurora to class, with new clothes, and shoes and so far, it has not happened.  Well, tomorrow, the request will be fulfilled! I was using the embroidery unit for gifts and added a quick project for the doll.

Almost T Day! Hail and 55 mph Winds

Doc has the week off and is spoiling us with cookies and comfort meals!!  My last class is late Wednesday afternoon.  Can't wait for 4 days of vacation!!  Yesterday I left the store to find hail; it lasted for the first five miles of my return route. Today we have 33-50 mph winds.  I pity the air travelers!

Still Trying to Snow

Knitting Weekend

6:30 AM and it's trying to snow.  Our streets were wet; Arvada at SOC was completely dry and not a single flake!
We love snow; it's so pretty!
Yesterday's trip to Costco readied us for Thanksgiving with huge quantities of nut cup treats and cozy flannel sheets.  We've never had flannel nor plaid sheets!!
Knitting, knitting! These will become doll outfits; the snappy bags are my effort to keep projects together rather than scattered throughout the house!

Hank Vs Skein

This is gorgeous hand dyed wool from Gypsy Wools in Boulder
I decided yesterday to wind it into a ball and cast on a pair of luscious socks.  Oops, I wrecked the winding pattern and it took me two hours (off and on) to wind the yarn.  No knots though!

This is why I rarely buy hanks of yarn!!

Celebrate Awesomeness

The surgeon said, "awesome" when he admired his work from mohs last month. The little knitters were awesome, returned from class to an awesome note, and Doc is making steak on the grill.

Walking and Knitting

It's still icy and scary in places but always feels great to walk.  It relieves the anxiety of today's mohs follow up appointment.

Kids are walking to school and a few that know me greet me.  It's a peaceful life here.

Some of lake Ketner is frozen and in the distance, a huge flock of birds have found liquid lake to enjoy.

Knitting always relieves anxiety over medical appointments. Pullover is for Augustine.
I'm always knitting socks and sell them on etsy each winter.

Underoos for Gregor

It's so windy, that it's a relief to be in Santa's Workshop, working.

The 5" of snow is doing a good job trying to melt; it's 37 today!
