Will Storm Titan Affect Denver?

Sewing 101 tomorrow morning is a full class; closed enrollment.  The knitting class in the afternoon at City Park is the last class meeting; will we have ice and snow after all?  I'm watching the weather closely for the latest reports.  This afternoon the weather report says "wintry mix beginning at 4:00 AM."

Knitting and Sewing

Four pairs of socks are on the needles right now; no wonder it takes me so long to complete one pair!!
More supplies arrived today; lots of Little Darlings are being hand painted and sold! I simply sew their undergarments.
Whose footprints are these??
Snow is all melted thanks to our abundant sun.  I don't dare plant! It's still winter, after all.

Gratefulness

Thank you, Kimberly, for postponing my phone efforts while Mom was asleep and recovering from pneumonia.  Thank you, Kimberly, for making our chat today happen!  Thank you, John, for hanging out with our Mom, even through the night, while she is still here on earth.  Thank you to all my sisters for doing all to make Mom as comfortable as possible and for sharing pictures of my five grandchildren, her great grandchildren!  We were talking about you, little "Cheeks" (Natasha!) and John Jeffrey!

The photo is from December 25th with granddaughter and great-granddaughter.

Good Morning, Snow

He brought me coffee at 6:30 as I was admiring our new snow.

Cozy Evening

Quilting

It has been trying to snow all day but at 5-9 degrees, it is too cold! The snow is supposed to begin at 4:00 PM and last for 12 hours.  We'll see.  Right now, my sewing machine is shocking me!!

The "pieceful kwilter" has a no waste flying geese method that is quick!!

Creative Messes

The Texas Kids gifted me with quilting fabric and batting for Christmas.  The quilt is a perfect size for the pack and play!! Come join us, Natasha and August!!!
The fabric choices reminded me of fake fur! The classroom was far worse than my sewing room after sewing dozens of Bunny slippers for the dolls at Easter!  We were sneezing and rubbing our eyes; lint was even in hair and eyebrows!  Their robes were adorable when finished!

Gentle Reminder: Still Winter

Ski resorts received a foot of new snow last night; we weren't supposed to receive anything until Tuesday.  It is winter, after all!!

Fun Climate

So, it was 50 degrees today but somehow felt much chillier as we did morning errands. Early evening, it is snowing.  Snow isn't supposed to arrive until Tuesday! We love it all!!
After working at Rocky Mountain Sewing where gorgeous quilts are on display, I began a small quilt for the pack and play.  With two infants in the family, it should be well used!

Prayers for Mom

The picture was taken on Christmas Day, with her son John and Ivy.  Mom is 90, looks fantastic, but is suffering from pneumonia right now.  All prayers are welcome!

Knitting Projects

There are two pairs of adult socks down there, and lots of doll sweaters waiting for buttons.
All these buttons and I can't find the right shade of red!!

Lake Ketner

Since our arrival in March 2011, the water level is at an all time high!  Today is terribly windy and cold and as usual, we have abundant sun.

Windy Drive to Dentist

We registered 46 mph and report is that DIA cancels flights at 30 mph.  Good luck travelers!  My dentist always gifts patients with great dental care items.  Today I received the newest fluoride treatment, recommended for those with crowns, and it is very sticky! No ugly taste though!!!
Our area looks so pretty! Just hang onto your hat!!

Spring Already??

The violets are in the backyard, part of the edible garden.
Strawberry plants under mulch are trying to form tiny blossoms!
In the front yard, two flower plants are already growing and turning green.  Just two days ago, all was still buried from the latest snow.

Quilting and Knitting

City Parks and Rec is wanting to offer quilting classes; what project would be most fun?

Two doll customers request lavender, always popular with girls!

City Park Knitting

I was able to do personal knitting while waiting for students to arrive.
Here is my favorite little knitter!

Santa's Workshop On Valentine's Day

We will soon be without snow!! Until the next time, that is!  This is a great and favorite view from my sewing room.
While away, doll people placed requests via email and etsy convos.  The boy briefs go to Wales; postage has gone up again but her Gregors need underwear! Few are willing to sew boy "jockey shorts."

Jerome picked me up at Dulles on the 28th, late afternoon, and we drove to pick up the big kids who were staying with friends. We all took turns holding baby Augustine; such a perfect cutie and approved by all!

For the next 14 days, we played and played.  The pics say it all and are in random order.
