Early Morning Walk and Gardens

This plant is a late bloomer, black eyed susan, and worth the wait.
Yay! Cosmos are starting to bloom in front with the visiting flamingos.

Lots of leaves are falling; chimney cap is waiting for the first fire this Autumn.

Santa's Workshop

My home office, dubbed Santa's Workshop by Doc, is a fabulous place to work.  I'm having a chance to play with the quilting fabric gifted by Janet.

So Lush

In light of recent reports of Rabbit Fever in Colorado, I'm walking on paved surfaces only! Black bunny and a brown bunny were grazing in our front gardens this morning; no gardening there for me!

Falling Leaves

It felt like Autumn this mornig as I walked the greenbelt.  Our yard is still wonderful!

Stay Calm, Sweep ON

This fireman scurried up the ladder onto the roof and installed a chimney cap in minutes!!!!  We're good for another 3 years!!!  Yup, we use our fireplace a LOT!

Flamingos Go On a Field Trip

Haha! After he mowed his lawn, he placed the birds, with visors still secure on their heads, in my garden!  The gladiolus are leaning because I didn't follow directions: supposed to plant the corms 6-8" deep! and I didn't believe the package!

Birds are Scolding Hawk

He could care less!!!  While the birds screamed at him, he calmly rested in the Rodriguez's tree, on the corner of our street.  I didn't see a single squirrel or a single rabbit on my walk this morning!!!!! Do I need to thank Hawk?  Is he eating our abundant population of tree rats and furry bunnies?

In March 2011, this was our first path and view of Lake Ketner.

Wind Blows Cottonwood Fluff and Leaves

Leaves are turning yellow already! The cottonwood fluff is barely falling and blowing! We had such a fast summer!

Fast Weekend

It was filled with fun gardening, grilling, and cooking.  The chocolate chip ice cream and oatmeal/raisin cookies are awesome!

Garden Admirers Wear Visors

It is finally summer weather and I might have a few Cosmos in front after all.  Bunnies had eaten the four prior plantings! Pink flamingos say it's hot!  The donned sun visors.

A Summer's Evening

John Jeffrey can view a movie from his perch! Or play Wii??
Doc is loving the huge monitor in his office (that he shares with Grands when they visit).
Finally! We have a dry, warm (92 degrees with low humidity) evening outside!
Guess who is knitting!
