Weather

The trees are in full bloom at the Post Office on Grove Street. It had rained last night and we're supposed to have rain then changing to snow for more than 18 hours.  The last snowstorm went South of Denver and caused a blizzard with lots of closures.
We need the rain; we LOVE snow and would love to have a snow day!

Last Night's Dinner

Doc moved the grill to the far corner of the yard to give us a larger patio.
The cement blocks are from the original shed.

Yummy!

Precipitation!

This was last night after a light rain,
The rain is at 70% and will change to snow at midnight.
It's chilly, 37 degrees, and damp.  That's so rare for us!

Cookies From Spring Breakers

Early this morning, three cute kids arrived at our door, very politely asking if I had any flour.  They didn't have enough for the cookies they were baking.  An hour later, they happily returned with the rest of the flour AND freshly baked cookies!!! Dessert!!

Frost, Early Gardens

It was a chilly 35 degrees, no traffic to St. Mark (it is Spring Break for many students) and very still.
I started fluffing the mulch and can't wait for some of the Spring bulbs to open!

We'll have a gorgeous yard by June!

Show Us Your Entrance!

This view is from my new window seat. We blocked rabbit holes on Saturday!
We blocked that far corner where our corner fence met Drew and Amanda's yard.
Here he is by Doc's new shed.  How did he enter our yard??????

Testing the New Pizza Oven

It backs pizza in 4 minutes in a 700 degree oven!

 SO tasty!

Blocking Rabbit Holes

They have overrun the back yard for a year, ever since the backhoe entered through the back gate. Doc wants a vegetable garden; goodbye freeloaders!

Must Have Coffee

A new purchase for the family visitors is perfect!  Mommy is guessing the time zone will mess up the little ones sleep and they'll be up at 3:00 AM!   It would be 5:00 their time!!
Of course, I had to test the larger coffee pot and yes, it is GREAT!!

Replace Zipper = New Coat

 The zipper didn't work!
A replacement zipper ($3.98 from Jo Ann's using a coupon) gives the jacket (cost $1.00!! at Re-Store) gives the coat a new life and replaces a 12 year old worn out coat.

Where is the Blizzard?

The chaos reigns South!  Lots of closures and delays are happening south and east of Denver.  We received .5 inch of rain/snow mix which was much needed!  Roads in our area are clear.

Afternoon Walk: 74 Degrees and 8% Humidity

March 23, 2016; Last Year

March is Colorado's snowiest month, that is, until La Nina!!  This is our forecast for tomorrow.
Parts of Colorado are supposed to experience blizzard conditions and yes, we do need the moisture!

Apple Tree, Tulips, Hyacinth, Violets

This is early morning and already the humidity is a low 18%.  The forecast has rain, then snow so we can only hope! We need moisture so badly.

Nope! The builders did not kill the apple tree!!!!

Knitting at the Library

It's a wonderful setting for knitting (and sewing) classes.
A student brought me some gorgeous finger weight yarn; it might become a scarf to go with my new cardigan.

VERY Dry And Blooms

Spring arrived yesterday and our area thinks it really is Spring! Everything is growing.

It has been so dry for months that we can't dig the soil yet.  We need a bit of rain.
