Chilly for Me and Squirrel #25

It reads 53 degrees but with the wind, it feels like 39 degrees.  South of Denver will receive snow tonight; we might get sprinkles but doubt we'll see any snowflakes.

Coping Well

Arthritis comes and goes; the swelling in his right foot is noticeable but he's less uncomfortable.

Windy Release for #24

It's 35 mph so seems very chilly at 55 degrees.  He's happy!

Our Yard

It's 50 degrees and windy but so sunny and pretty.  Trees are blooming throughout the area.
Our Honey Crisp Apple tree is gorgeous!
Hyacinth multiply; some will go into the front yard after they stop blooming.
The Morning Glories are thriving.

Trying to be Spring

Somehow, 63 degrees felt so cool! When I returned home from a Teen class, he had a nice fire roaring! Thanks, Babe!

#22 Has A Lovely New Home

Frost, Spring Growth, and #21

Each gnome might need a sweater for April!
He's cold and scared; them romped right our of the cage towards the big pine.
This is called Purple Veronica and is a delicate ground cover.
Jeff's Honey Crisp Apple tree is blooming!!

Celebrating Earth Day

#19 is now residing at West Park. More apples for us!!
His new home is gorgeous! I wonder if this is a dogwood blossom.
It will be 79 degrees today! (maybe) We so enjoy our back patio.  Maybe the green salsa is what we've been searching for lately.
AND, his ten year old computer gets replaced!!!

Go Dig In the Dirt

It's Earth Day after all; go play in the earth!
The oregano is so fragrant that you want to go eat pizza!

All of these blossoms are in our backyard (along with a few squirrels!).

Santa's Workshop: Sewing, Quilting, Knitting

Alright, Baby Girl, I'll mail it soon!  Hope it's not too cozy!
Five grands will receive a sweater this year.  The first one goes to the oldest grandson whose favorite color is blue.
I had enough of the pink Minky and a fat quarter to sew a taggies blanket.
On Sunday, I have 5 little children joining me in sewing class to sew the owl.  We have four hours to complete it and I'm sure we can!  The brown bear was sewn by John Jeffrey with my help; I think he was three!!! Sewing and children are a great combination.

Squirrel #18

#17 was lucky; he was released at 6 AM in our yard due to our Mass schedule!

Happy Easter

We planned to leave earlier than usual for Mass (it is so crowded on Christmas and Easter!)and this guy walked into the cage at 6:00!!  So, he was freed in our backyard!  Mass began at 7:00 ended at 8:19; the next crowd (for 8:30 Mass) was already lining up, and scrambling for a slot in the parking lot. What a mess! Thankfully, there were parishioners and policemen to direct traffic safely.
It reached 74 degrees! I found two strawberries starting already!
Thanks, Tom, for the border! It looks wonderful!

Gentle Rain, Not Snow

We were working on the front yard, planning a border, pulling weeds, and he mowed, plus weed ate.
It is a gentle rain with the scent of lavender and sage; these plants in front were trimmed and are looking healthy.

Morning Glories

I planted soaked seeds this morning; the vines will climb the grape trellis.
