Walking to the Pier

COLD!! But No Snow Accumulation!

Last night, I drove home from work in a flurry of snow and lots of wind. The flakes didn't continue long and this morning there was no evidence of snow except on our peaks. However, it's very windy and so cold! With the wind chill, it's 23 degrees! We walk anyway! See the snow on the peaks in the background?

Quilt Class

The sewing project was a quilted table runner and students could choose their own fabrics. The wild backing with huge red flowers turned out so pretty. The one with greens too was gorgeous and she backed it in the lime green background with darker green swirls. Very attractive!

Library and Papa Murphy

After work, we drove to Arvada's Library and then to get a pizza from Papa Murphy. I now have vids to listen to (half watch) while I work in my sewing room. I already have books to read while I knit. Yup, the ultimate multi-tasker!

After Easter Prizes for Grampa and Grands

These are plastic and will be GREAT for Brooklyn and John Jeffrey this December! Can't wait for their visit but we still have a lot of child proofing to do.
Grampa gets prizes too! We can't always find the Brachs spicy beans and they are his fav.

Nearing Nelson Street

There's a teen ager on a trampoline in the distance. We waved and I should have paused but you know me, speeding along!

Wonderful Easter 2011

What a fun Easter: two egg hunts before breakfast, a small breakfast, beautiful Mass celebration, back home for Pancake breakfast, a long walk by the lake, then sewing briefs for Gregor (a special order), while Jeff corrected our tilting mailbox. We did not have snow, just a few sprinkles.

Happy Easter

Project for John Jeffrey & Brooklyn

Thank you, Home Depot!!

I know how you like to be so busy, John Jeffrey, and I see how you LOVE to hold something of fun texture, Brooklyn (like my note from big brother! and the lid to the animal tupperware!), so this December, we will do some woodworking!

Supposed To Snow on Easter Too!

Pancake Breakfast

There are blueberries hidden in there somewhere! The chef rocks!!!

Barn Gift from Mom

Mom sent $$ in this adorable card for a bottle of red wine (our fav is currently House Wine made in Walla Walla, WA) and a vacuum cleaner to keep on the main floor. Our present vacuum cleaner is on the second floor and well used due to my sewing room in constant use. The vacuum cleaner is just too heavy to haul up our steep stairs all the time.

Knitting Short Cuff Socks

I actually finished sock #1 today in between sewing doll clothes! I also found the cream sock yarn that I bought months ago to knit Jeff some short cuff summer socks. Yay! Slowly, we are finding everything!

Best Friends

Kim and I been best friends since our freshman year at the U. of Iowa. We also joined AX Omega at the same time. Alas, she lives in Chicago and does not do email! These pictures were from June 2006 when Jeff had a conference in Chicago and Kim and her hubby, Chuck, met us for drinks.

Rotary Mat and Cutter are Found

Good thing as I will need the items for Friday's class.
