Knitting and Sewing

I work in Santa's Workshop before going to teach classes.  My room rocks!

Darned Hand Knit Socks

Favorites! They had holes so I knit little patches. Today I wore them to teach a class and always take off the shoe of my right foot.  Oops! Another two holes so these socks will go bye bye.  I could darn them but he and I both have a stash of newly knit socks that have never been worn! Spoiled much?

#60 Could NOT Resist Peanut Butter

Spectacular Summer

Wildlife has totally eaten the huge sunflower!  I had hoped to harvest some seeds before this but the birds found it quickly.

Always Knitting/ More Yarn

Rudolph hat for baby Elmo, due in January during cold days of Virginia
socks for Doc but he said sell them as he has too many socks! On etsy they go!
more yarn! from ebay; the regia is discontinued and my favorite colorway so when I saw the lot on ebay, I bought it even though I have lots of yarn already (really??)

Pumpkin and Squash Patch

Two tiny pumpkins!  The first was bit (mouse? bird?) and I seriously doubt it was a squirrel chomp.  They are NOT delicate!

Working At Home

No classes today so I'm playing in Santa's Workshop, watching sprinkles, and dehydrating herbs. The front garden calls me!!

Black Birds

We remember from last year that they only stay for about a week.  They aren't very pretty and they aren't very smart!

Another Lost Knitting Needle

Since I'm always knitting on the go, it makes sense that a needle will occasionally go missing.  Yesterday I knit on John Jeffrey's sock while in line at the Post Office and got home with only 3 of the 4 size one dpns.  No matter, I have more!

There's a size 2 dpn somewhere in Jekyll Island, a size one kollage square dpn on flight #942 going to San Diego, and even a size 1 under the passenger side of the Forester.  They are so small that it's hard to find them.

#58 Was An Easy Catch

Complaining! And loaded with pincer bugs!

Silly Squirrel

My goal is to catch him before my sewing class today.

Birds Like Peanuts Too

Birds like peanuts too!  Our two pine trees are enjoying summer; no snow!

Boulder Thrift Shop

He volunteers every Saturday and yesterday inspected the dehydrator for working condition. It worked!  We visited the store after Mass and wandered around.  The dehydrator was still there so it, and the 3/4 yard of pinwale corduroy, came home with us!  He is drying apples right now.
