Trash Drama

Neighbor and I crossed paths early this this morning as we walked.  He was laughing: two huge buzzards were delving into another neighbor's huge trash pile, piled for five days without covering or prevention from blowing, and one bird flew off "with a piece of toast. He didn't have his camera....... I said I did and would get pics of the birds diving for food. However, they were done digging the trash pile, and were happily eating in a tree.  (top photo)  Later the trash pick up drove down our street, passing the huge pile, maybe because it was not following standard, and continued down the street.  Owner of trash came out, waved her arms, pointed to the trash, and the truck returned.  Truck did its best but there is still debris, peanut packing materials, and junk that the arm lift could not control.

Evening:  the empty trash cans and debris still remain at the curb.
