Thanksgiving Day

After a huge breakfast, a long walk in 12 degrees temperatures, preparing stuffing on the stove to shove into the cavity, the bird finally went into the oven at 10:30.

Kitty's water was frozen, again, and he doesn't really care. He knows to sip from the inside bowl. He also likes to supervise Jeff doing yardwork.
The chunks of ice never did thaw; it only got up to 23 degrees on Thanksgiving Day.

There was lots of cooking today.

And more cooking.......................... the green bean casserole with
onions is a favorite.

Jeff was in charge of the nut cups, a family tradition.

The brothers strung Christmas lights while waiting for the turkey to finish cooking.

Younger brother did some yardwork; most of the leaves are now gone!

And finally, after a huge meal, there was time to relax and do a bit of knitting.
